Of Wanting and Being Written

First off I want to say that my speech and debate team is in Idaho for a tournament and I am dying here waiting for someone to tell me something. I am wanting news from Idaho!!!

So anywho, I am listening to Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield and pondering the lyrics. First of all I have to say they are nothing short of poetic {staring at the blank page before you/open up the dirty window/let the sun illuminat the words that you could not find reaching/for something in the distance/so close you can almost taste it/release your inhabitions/feel the rain on your skin/no one else can feel it for you/only you can let it in/no one else can speak the words on your lips/drench yourself in words unspoken/live your life with arms wide open/today is where your book begins/the rest is still unwritten...}
You get the idea...I like this song. But something is totally wrong here. We are written. Every day--every nanosecond for goodness sake--is written by the Creator and Sustainer of life! And for that I am so thankful! But, from our point of view, it seems like we are unwritten. We cannot glimpse into the future and see where we are headed. And the past few months I have been feeling "unwritten". I cannot see what my life holds but it doesn't end there! My Savior HAS written my life story!! And I know it's amazing because He is amazing! This was such a good reminder today for me. Now, someone please, please, tell Natasha that! :)

(And yes, I did post twice today, but I started this earlier and wanted to finish and post it tonight...) :)

  1. Natasha B. needs to get a clue! Never really thought about the lyrics before, comparing them to Christ's plan for our lives. Very interesting
